Remember those great Easter Egg Hunts as a kid?? You'd run around hoping to find as many eggs as possible. Some were filled with candies and sometimes (if you were really lucky!) money!!!
My favorite was waking up Easter morning to find that the "Easter Bunny" had brought me my own Easter basket full of goodies just for me!!
We all know that there are kids whose parents aren't able to give them that same experience and Mission Arlington is doing something to help! Through their yearly Easter Store, parents are able to come pick up Easter baskets and goodies for their children.
The UCC is going to pitch in this year by putting together some fun baskets to be donated to the Easter Store!
We'll supply the baskets, eggs, candy, and treats. You just bring a helping hand and together we'll help brighten a child's Easter this year! |

Theology on Tap is a four-part series of dynamic speakers and engaging discussions on topical theological issues in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. It is intended for all young adults’ ages 21 through 30s – single or married. A great effort is made to ensure that topics are both timely and applicable to today’s young adults.
Each evening will start with a few minutes to meet and greet fellow young adults from around the Dallas/Fort Worth area – prior to the speaker taking the stage. Afterward, each speaker will have the opportunity to answer the audience’s questions on the night’s topic.
There is no “cover charge” to attend Theology On Tap, however, donations are appreciated and help make the event possible. Food or beverages are at the participant’s discretion and are his/her responsibility.

The University Catholic Community at UTA is sponsoring a juried art competition entitled Amor Vitae: Love of Life! in April of 2010 at the Arlington Museum of Art in downtown Arlington. Entries will be judged based on artistic quality and the artists’ presentation of how they depict the Culture of Life, a respect for all forms of life that opposes abortion, euthanasia, capital punishment, human cloning, stem cell research, contraception and other social concerns.
This show is open to high school juniors and seniors and undergraduate college students. Artists will also be permitted to offer their work for sale with a 25% commission collected by the University Catholic Community to support pro-life initiatives in the Diocese of Fort Worth.
There will be one first-place winner with a cash prize of $100 and one second-place winner with a $50 cash prize in each of the following categories:
• high school juniors and seniors
• university freshman and sophomores
• university juniors and seniors
The UCC will be hosting an opening night reception on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 7 p.m. The show will be open until April 30, 2010. All are invited to attend!
