FIAT is a young Adult Mission Experience
FIAT is hosted by the Young Adult Ministry office of the Diocese of Fort Worth
and the UCC at UTA
All young adults are invited. Say YES to serving God and our neighbors to the West.

This year we will travel to the parishes or The Immaculate Heart of Mary in Abbott and the Nativity of Mary in Penelope TX. Both of these parishes are overseen by Fr. Joe Keating. We will be doing projects around the parishes and experiencing the life of a rural Catholic parish.

March 11
3:00 Meet at UCC and car pool to Abbott
5:00 Arrive and stow stuff
6:00 Attend Mass 
7:00 Dinner
8:00 free time
March 12
Attend Sunday Mass in Abbott and Penelope the afternoon have a retreat with Fr. Joe
Evening - Free time 
Monday - Wednesday we will:
8:00 Breakfast
9:00-4 Work around the parishes 
Go to Mass then have dinner
Evenings will be free time and prayer time

Be sure to print out the PDF Liability form found on the registration page and bring it with you or fill one out before you leave.
​List of what to bring:
  • 5-4 Changes of clothes (watch the forecast)
  • Clothes for working during the day and clothes for hanging out at night
  • Closed toe shoes for working
  • Sleeping bag or sheets and a blanket 
  • air mattress or cot (or sleep on the carpet floor
  • Pillow
  • Towel
  • Shower shoes
  • Toiletries
  • A snack to share with the group (chips, cookies etc…)
  • Bible (bible app) for prayer times
  • Any devotional books or journals you use for prayer
